HARVEST ROCK CHURCH: A MINISTRY OF DEVOTED SERVICE
Ché Ahn received God’s call to ministry in a prophetic dream. Ché and his wife Sue packed up their lives and their children and left Maryland to Los Angeles for harvest. He enrolled in Fuller Seminary and the couple founded Harvest Rock Church after receiving a great deal of support at their nightly prayer meetings. As a pastor, Ché’s charismatic style and awe-inspiring speeches have captivated the hearts and souls of thousands of worshippers. Under their leadership, small congregations in their home transformed into one of the world’s largest ministries, with 25,000 affiliated churches across 65 nations under Harvest International Ministry. Since 2004, they’ve welcomed the local congregation at their own church in the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena, CA.
For years, Pastor Ché has travelled thousands of miles and spent countless hours on an apostolic mission fulfilling the Great Commission, planting churches and healing societies. “My hope is that as I provide tools for believers, we will begin to see transformation in every area of society.” He is known as a champion in underserved communities, where philanthropic outreach is extended on a multitude of levels. He also serves as the International Chancellor of Wagner University and is a member of the Revival Alliance and Apostolic Roundtable. Pastor Ché has also authored more than a dozen bestselling books, including Say Goodbye to Powerless Christianity, How to Pray for Healing, The Grace of Giving, God Wants to Bless You!, and Modern-Day Apostles.
Harvest Rock Church is actively improving the lives of people through its extensive programs. Gwen Gibson, the executive pastor and author, has been successfully overseeing Hope Center, which offers support to those who are struggling with various hardships in life. In the Hope Center, people seeking emotional and spiritual guidance can set up appointments through HRC’s website, where they will receive the necessary tools and resources to get the help they need through an network of affiliated support groups, including Harvest Rock Pastoral Care, which helps people connect with the healing communities; and Embracing Life Ministries which provides spiritual relief for those with life-altering conditions, such as cancer, lupus, HIV-AIDS, diabetes, depression, anxiety and others.
Matt & Vicky Dunn, hailing from northern England, serve as associate pastors whose passion is to provide couples with the tools to build healthy relationships and long-lasting marriages. While Vicky is improving the wellbeing of families, providing medical care as a family physician outside of church, Matt is working fulltime in pastoral counseling, relational and premarital coaching. Jay & Brittany Koopman have been bridging the gap between the youth and their faith as part of the Bridge Service. Jay, the Youth and Young Adult Pastor, also serves as a member of the U.S Apostolic Team for Harvest International Ministry, worked as an instructor at numerous faith-based institutions. His wife, Brittany serves as the Children’s Pastor and has centered her life around improving the lives of families. The couple steward weekly services restoring faith in the younger generation.
The Harvest Rock Church pastors’ mutual passion and extraordinary leadership have united them to work extensively, exerting themselves to bring the message of Christ, empowering and spiritually lifting people around the world. They have been recognized as pillars of their community time and time again, going above and beyond to revitalize communities through pastoral and philanthropic means.
